Lund Junior/Senior High School has approximately 50 students. Teachers work together to solve problems and ensure excellent learning outcomes for our students. Our students are also involved in academics, sports and leadership opportunities. The Teacher filling this position will be working with students 6th-12th grades with small class sizes. This position may include teaching other subject areas as needed. There are also coaching positions available if interested. Lund is a small rural community with many outdoor activities available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of Essential Duties and Responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be supplemented. 1. Administer appropriate district curriculum. 2. Ensure the opportunity for all students to learn in a supportive environment. 3. Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused learning condition in the instructional environment. 4. Develop and implement the Components of an Effective Lesson for instruction using research based practices, high leverage instructional strategies (NEPF), and school-driven initiatives for excellent instruction. 5. Analyze student progress and provide appropriate intervention. 6. Provide a classroom management/discipline plan ensuring safety at all times. 7. Ensure assessment regulations and guidelines are followed at all times. 8. Develop a classroom climate that promotes positive learning conditions. 9. Work professionally with administrators, staff, parents, and community. 10. Integrate technology into the instructional program. 11. Participate in other job-related duties and activities related to the position as assigned.

Salary & Benefits: $34,511- $68,049 Nevada has no state income tax; White Pine County School District pays all teacher retirement and employee’s insurance; retirement is vested in five years.
